A tale of gods, kings, immortal fame, and the human heart, The Song of Achilles is a profoundly moving retelling of Homer's Iliad. Exiled prince Patroclus befriends golden Achilles, and their bond deepens as they grow into young men and are called to fight in the Trojan War.

Jim's Review

🐛
Jim knew how the Iliad ended and STILL wasn't prepared. Madeline Miller, you brilliant human, you made a worm weep openly. The love story between Achilles and Patroclus is so tender and achingly beautiful that Jim had to burrow into a pile of tissues afterward. This book ruined Jim in the best possible way. Read it, cry, and then read it again.
